I would also recommend adding “: 2010 Edition” to any selected course name, to promote currency of information. This can be updated each year as slight upgrades are added.

For the targeted demographic, the name should be professional sounding, (not “too clever” or a play on words), and between 3 – 6 words long. A collegiate course format name would have better response than a retail/consumer sounding phrase, as the presentation is to a specific industry. This also makes the name compatible to being associated with the authors, and the related companies.

It is important that the name chosen will still be relevant in several years so that the course does not need to be renamed. This is a one-time branding opportunity for a course, and a quality name will make a big difference. Being descriptive, authoritative, and attractive are three important factors.
