I've been doing p.i. work for 4 years now and have wanted to buy something that would cool me off during the summer months. Alabama summers can be way too hot and I'd love more info on equipment I can buy to help me do a better job! :) Great article by the way!

Where can I buy a swamp cooler? After my first year I gained thirty pounds. Since that first year I stopped with the drive throughs and after hour drinks with co workers and joined a gym.I train about four times a week and I'm also a Personal Trainer. Pam is absolutely right in saying that Yoga or Flexibilty (stretching) training is very helpful in our chosen careers. Strength training keeps all my muscles alert especially the lower back and core muscles that can really iritate us on those long shifts. You don't have to be the next Arnold, you just need a good program that will work every muscle group. You may not want to do it but once you feel the differents you won't want to stop.I always drink water in my car as well as coffee. I keep the empty water bottles (500 ml) and use them as my washroom. They are easily discarded at the end of the day in a plastic bag at any highway public trash can. Some my find this disgusting but I don't plan on wearing diapers at the age of 65 for "holding it in" Keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in your car to keep your hands clean.I pack a lunch everyday and keep snacks in may car such as cashews or crackers, a thermos of coffee and berries. Berries are great detoxifiers and rid us of environmental contaminates from smog, smoking etc...Just a few of my own thoughts. Thanks again Pam

This is a great article Pam.

I’ve been on the road twenty years this October.
