The Secret of Surveillance: Patience

What does it take to be a good surveillance operative?

The ability to wait.

There’s nothing in the world like a summer stakeout to test your patience.

Your car is steamier than a hothouse. A tree is blocking the view. The minutes tick by in slow motion, hours stacked on hours. And you’re getting video of a whole lot of nothing.

You’re dreaming of a cool, dark place that serves tasty beverages—icy pleasure sliding down your throat—when…pay dirt! The thing you’ve been waiting ten smoking hot hours for actually happens.

Tape is rolling. You’re glad you stuck it out. Now  it’s time for that beverage.
