What information does Pursuit Magazine collect and how do we use it?

Information Collected for Tracking and Customization via a cookie,  a small file that a website transfers to your computer to allow it to remember specific information about your visit. Your computer will only share the information in the cookie with the website that provided it, and no other website can request it. We use cookies to enable better navigation through our site, or to allow you to use interactive tools and modules. Cookies also allow the website to “remember” you when you next visit our site. At no time is your private information, which is obtained through cookies, shared with third parties who have no right to that information.

When you use our site, we collect anonymous information. Anonymous information is information about how you use our site (such as places visited and searches performed). Anonymous information is information that is not tied to any individual, but helps Pursuit Magazine characterize the website users to improve our services.

• When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, and credit card expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.
• When you sign up to download certain material made available by us through our site, we need only an e-mail address, which we use to send you the information you requested.
• We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site, but collect no identifying information about our users to accomplish this.
• We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the web site, new Pursuit Magazine services and special offers we think you’ll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, send us an e-mail.

How does Pursuit Magazine protect customer information?

Pursuit Magazine uses the latest encryption technology to keep your personal information safe. All your ordering information — including your name, address, and credit card number — is encrypted using a secure server for maximum security. Your credit card and billing information cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. To ensure that your information is even more secure, we will never see or be in possession of your credit card information.

Credit card transactions are handled by a third-party financial institution, which receives the credit card number and other personal identifying information only to verify the credit card numbers and process transactions. If you feel more comfortable calling in your credit card information, just give us a call at 615-953-3150. When we complete your transaction, you will receive your order number via our confirmation e-mail.

Will Pursuit Magazine disclose my personal information to outside parties?

Pursuit Magazine does not sell, rent, or loan our customers’ personal information (including customers’ names and shipping, billing, and e-mail addresses) to anyone. We take your trust very seriously, so the only messages you receive will come from us. This includes automatic order and shipping confirmation e-mails generated upon receipt of your order. Pursuit Magazine may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Pursuit Magazine may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i.) comply with law, (ii.) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements, or (iii.) protect the rights, property, or safety of Pursuit Magazine, our users, or others.

How does Pursuit Magazine protect the privacy of children younger than 13 years?
