Pretrial Release Association Moves to Put Commerical Bail Bondsmen Out of Business

Warning! The video clip below clearly illustrates that the agenda of NAPSA is: “To abolish professional bail boding in the United States!” Many have seen this video clip, if you have not, look at it now.

NAPSA has one objective: To Put You Out of Business!

Last week, at the start of the 2009 PBUS Midyear Meeting a message was sent to you alerting you that the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Pre-Trial Justice Institute (PJI) have formed an alliance, funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the U.S. Department of Justice to complete a no-cost technical analysis of current jail population. You know that they will find or create issues of jail overcrowding and that will lead them to recommend the creation of or expansion of a PTR program. (PBUS interpretation: GET RID OF THE BAIL AGENT!) Last week we warned everyone: The National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Pre-Trial Justice Institute (PTI) are now soliciting applications from Counties for this free evaluation (PBUS Interpretation: Paid for by Taxpayer dollars). The applications are due back to NACo by August 14th. Will your county be one of the many selected for this free evaluation? You need to know the answer to this question. Is your county going to be targeted? Prepare yourself for the attack on your business by establishing or maintaining a relationship with each of your County Commissioners or the funding source for your county jail. PBUS will strive to identify targeted Counties and notify members accordingly. It is important that we stay alert and current on the progress on the NACo and PTI efforts.

Now, PBUS recommends you go to your County Council and let them know about this possible study and that they (PJI) want to put you out of business! This group (PJI) wants your county to take these recommendations and end up spending untold thousands or even millions of dollars to do a job that you already are doing! Let them know this. You don’t save money by creating a program that costs money and puts you out of business. Want proof about how the bail agent saves the county/state money? Go to the PBUS website, www.pbus.com <http://www.pbus.com/> and click on the report about how one Surety Company saved the state of Florida millions of dollars. This is not an aberration or an exception, this is a factual analysis of how you save money each and every day. Do not delay in contacting your County officials. If you already have a good relationship, renew it now. If you do not as yet have that relationship, it is critical that you create it as soon as possible. This is a direct attack on you and your business. PBUS will strive to identify targeted Counties and notify members accordingly. It is important that we stay alert and current on the progress on the NACo and PTI efforts.

The NACo Annual Conference is going on today through tomorrow in Nashville, TN. Be alert. If you find out that your county has been targeted, notify the PBUS offices immediately! Email me or our telephone number is: 202-783-4120.
