Weekly Briefing 12.14.20 – Giving

A subpoena is a kind of gift, right? We think so. As such, we’ve made you something: a new course for folks interested in becoming process servers, or anyone who’d like to brush up on regulations and techniques. This course, by Jacob Osojnak, is a great, well-designed multimedia product, combining slide presentations, articles, and videos of Jacob in the field serving papers, bodycam on and recording.

You can find Jacob Osojnak’s 4-hour CE course, Process Serving Essentials, at the PI Education course catalog.

This week’s book recommendation for your PI library is Utah PI Scott Fulmer’s memoir, Confessions of a Private Eye. It’s a backstage pass to Fulmer’s most complicated cases, from kidnapped kids to disappeared diamonds. He strikes a deft balance between realism and adventure, describing the ordinary tedium of a PI’s workdays and the many extraordinary moments he’s seen in his three decades of investigations.
