A year ago today, we shot the last weekly briefing in the Storyboard studio before packing up all the gear and moving it home. We were a little overconfident about how quickly we’d move back. Turns out, it would be a year of home studio work, with all the gear clutter, barking dogs, squirrel infestations, and weed eater interruptions that entails.
We moved back into the official studio on Sunday 3/14 and shot the first briefing there on the Ides of March, 2021. The last videos stored on the SD card I found in the studio camera were from 3.16.20 — what a weird time warp that was. So I thought it would be interesting to compare what we were thinking and feeling a year ago to what we know now.
In the briefing, you’ll see interwoven messages from yesterday and a year ago. How very innocent we were then. Almost makes you want to go back and warn that poor guy what was coming. Then again, maybe it’s best he didn’t know. —KG
